Commenting on Content Planner
The Content Planner lets you leave two types of comments directly on the page: block-level and inline. Comments are only visible while editing a page or when it’s viewed in preview mode. They help streamline feedback and keep collaboration focused.
Block-level comments
Block-level comments can be added to any content block using the comment icon in the top-right corner of the block toolbar. This is the first icon in the row, followed by duplicate, settings, and delete.
To add a block comment:
- Click the comment icon on the block
- A comment card appears on the right side of the editor
- Type your comment, tag collaborators with
@mentions
, and click Send - Use the Cancel button if you change your mind
Each comment supports:
- Single-level replies
- Thumbs-up reactions
- Resolution (using the checkmark icon)
- Edit or delete options (in the meatball menu)
Block-level comments are marked by a blue vertical line along the left edge of the comment card.
Inline comments
Inline comments allow you to give feedback on specific text within text blocks (rich or plain) and notes blocks.
You can leave inline comments in two ways:
Option 1 – Using the floating toolbar:
- Highlight a word or phrase
- A small toolbar will appear
- Click the comment icon to add your comment
Option 2 – Using the formatting bar:
- Highlight your text
- Click the comment icon in the formatting toolbar
Inline comments use the same comment features as block-level, but are identified by a yellow vertical line.
Collaboration tools
All comments appear in a shared area on the right side of the editor. This is where you can scroll through active discussions, reply to threads, or resolve feedback.
At the top of the comment area, you’ll find:
- A filter toggle (labeled “View” on hover) that lets you switch between:
- All activity (default)
- Resolved comments
- A visibility toggle that hides or reveals all comments and suggestions
Summary
- Use block-level comments for full content blocks
- Use inline comments for specific text selections
- Comments stay attached to the page and appear in the preview
- Everything is managed in a unified comment area on the right
