Assign templates to pages
Templates give pages a consistent content structure. You can assign or change a template for one page or several pages from Content Overview.
Before you begin
- At least one template must be available in the project. To create or import one, see Managing templates in Content Planner.
- Templates are assigned from Content Overview. You cannot assign a template from inside Page Editor.
- Access to project actions depends on your project role and page assignments. See User roles and permissions in Slickplan for details.
Warning: Assigning or changing a template removes all custom content from the affected page. This action cannot be undone.
Assign a template to one page
- Open the project and go to the Sitemap.
- Select Content . Content Overview opens with Overview selected.
- Find the page in the table.
- In the Template column, select Apply or the currently assigned template.

- Select the template you want to assign.
- If the page already contains custom content or another template, the Confirm content replace window appears. Select Assign template to continue, or select Cancel to leave the page unchanged.

The selected template is applied to the page. Any custom content that was on the page is removed.
Assign a template to multiple pages
- Select the checkboxes beside the pages you want to update.
