Exporting sitemaps: Quick guide
You can export sitemaps in your site planning projects in various formats: PDF, Image, HTML, CSV, TXT, XML, DOCX, or Website. Here’s how:
General steps:
- Open your site planning project.
- Click the Export icon in the navigation bar.
- In the Export panel, select your desired format and adjust any additional settings.
Export formats:
- Select from formats: 8×10, 8.5×11, 8.5×14, 11×17, A4, A3, or auto-size.
- For landscape view, check Landscape orientation.
- To fit your sitemap to the page, check Fit to page.
- Choose additional header info: date, version number, sitemap name, and page count (defaults are set but can be unchecked).
- Additional options include:
- Diagrams
- Page types and legend
- Page links
- Page notes
- Comments
- Monochromatic (export without colors)
- Page numbering
- Use Unicode font
- Exclude collapsed pages
Image (PNG or EPS)
- Select from formats: 8×10, 8.5×11, 8.5×14, 11×17, A4, A3, or auto-size.
- For landscape view, check Landscape orientation.
- To fit your sitemap to the page, check Fit to page.
- Choose additional header info (same as PDF).
- Select options to include in your image file.
HTML
Choose parameters to include:
- Page notes
- CSS file for visual sitemap
- Page numbering
- Exclude collapsed pages
CSV
Choose additional parameters to include in the CSV export, such as:
- Page type
- Page link
- Page note
- SEO metadata
- Content status
- Page numbering
- Limit to language
- Exclude collapsed pages
TXT
Export your sitemap as a text file.
- Optionally, check Exclude Collapsed Pages.
XML
Export your sitemap as a Slickplan XML file for use with WordPress or to share between Slickplan accounts.
This XML format allows you to easily import structure and content into WordPress via the Slickplan plugin, as well as manage hardcopy Slickplan projects or interchange projects between accounts.
DOCX
Choose DOCX (Content Outline ) to export your sitemap in .docx format. Optionally, check additional parameters to include in the export, such as:
- SEO metadata
- Content blocks label
- Page numbering
- Limit to language
- Limit to page status (complete, draft, unassigned, etc.)
- Exclude collapsed pages
Website
Convert your sitemap into a ready-to-deploy bundle of files including HTML, CSS, and uploaded files.
- Optionally, exclude collapsed pages.
