Use diagram templates
Diagram templates provide a prebuilt starting point for creating a diagram. You can select a template when you create a focused diagram project, add one to an existing diagram project or use one for a diagram attached to a sitemap page.
Start a diagram project from a template
From the dashboard, select New Project.
Select Focused Diagramming, then select Next: Set up project details.
- Enter a project name and add a logo if needed.
Open the Diagram template menu and select a template.
- Select Next: Set up your team and choose the team members who should have access to the project.
- Select Finish and create project.
The new project opens in Diagram Maker with the selected template imported and ready to edit.
Add a template to an existing diagram project
- Open the diagram project.
Select the Import icon in the top navigation.
- Select the Template tab.
- To preview a template, select the eye icon beside it.
Select the template you want to use, then select Import.
The template is added to the diagram project and is ready to customize.
Use a template in a site planning project
- Open the site planning project and select Diagrams in the project navigation.
Select + New Diagram.
- Enter a diagram name and select the sitemap page where you want to place it.
Open the Diagram template menu and select a template. To preview a template before selecting it, use the eye icon.
Slickplan imports the template and attaches the new diagram to the selected sitemap page.
