Commenting on diagrams

Slickplan makes it easy to add floating comments directly to your diagram canvas, ensuring feedback and change requests are positioned above the relevant areas. This approach simplifies collaboration with your team, making comments clear and easy to follow.

How to add a comment:

1. Click the Comments icon on the toolbar.

   

2. Your cursor will change to a comment icon, letting you place comments on the diagram.

   

3. Click on the diagram to add your comment.

   

4. Type your comment, and feel free to tag a user or add emojis for engagement.

   

5. Click the Send button to finish.

   

How to reply to a comment:

1. Click on a user’s avatar bubble to see comments.

   

2. To reply, type your message and press Enter (or Return on Mac), or click the thumbs-up icon to agree with a comment.

   

Managing Comments

Deleting Comments:

• To delete a comment thread, click the trashcan icon in the top right corner of the pop-up.

  

• To delete a specific comment, hover over the dotted icon next to the text and click the trashcan icon.

  

Editing Comments:

1. To edit a comment, hover over the dotted icon next to the text and click the pencil icon.

   

2. Make your changes and click the Update button.

   

Resolving Comments:

Select Marked as resolved in the top left corner of the pop-up.

Note: To find resolved comments, change the Show filter to Resolved in the comments panel.

Comments Panel

The comments panel is located on the right side of the diagram canvas in comment mode. Here, you can see all the messages from your team.

• Use the Search option to find comments by keyword or phrase.

  

• Use the Show filter to toggle between active and resolved comments.

  

• Use the Sort by filter to arrange comments by Latest, Oldest, or User.
