Creating sitemap sections
Creating sitemap sections helps organizations like companies and schools organize their websites, especially with lots of content and departments.
These sections group related content, making navigation easier for users. Whether separating divisions or targeting specific audiences, sitemap sections provide a clear way to manage large websites.
This guide will show you how to create and manage these sections manually and using Slickplan’s AI assistant.
Add a new section manually
- Choose the desired page, open its properties panel, then select the plus icon beside Add Section.
- Choose the Create a new empty section option to begin building your section from scratch.
- Click Apply to create the section.
To segregate an existing group of pages within your main sitemap, opt for Move child pages to section to migrate a whole branch.
To maintain the page styling, check Copy styling.
To access the new section, click on its name in the properties panel or the section icon on the page cell.
