Add designs to a project

Add design mockups from your computer, File Library or Figma, then connect each design to a sitemap page. A mockup appears in Designs only after you assign it and save the upload.

Before you begin

Design Mockups is available during the 14-day trial and on Pro, Team and Agency plans. Anyone added to a project can access Designs.

You can upload PNG, JPG, GIF and PDF files from your computer.

Add your first design mockups

  1. Open the project and select Designs from the project navigation.
  2. Open the source dropdown under Add your design mockups and choose one of these options:
    • My computer: Upload files from your device.
    • File library: Select files already stored in Slickplan.
    • Figma: Select designs through the Figma integration.
  3. Select Upload Mockups.

  4. Select the designs you want to add.
  5. Assign the designs to sitemap pages, then complete the upload as described below.

Add more design mockups

When the Designs dashboard already contains mockups:

  1. Select + Upload mockups in the upper-right corner.
  2. Choose an upload source in the window:
    • Direct Sync: Select designs through the Figma integration.
    • File Library: Select files already stored in Slickplan.
    • Upload Files: Upload PNG, JPG, GIF or PDF files from your device.

  3. Select the designs you want to add.
  4. Assign the designs to sitemap pages, then complete the upload.

Assign design mockups to sitemap pages

Every design must be assigned to a sitemap page before it can be added to the Designs dashboard.

Important: Check each page assignment before saving. You cannot reassign a mockup to another sitemap page after it has been saved.

  1. Assign each selected design to a page using its page selector.
  2. To assign several designs to the same page:
    1. Select the checkbox on each design. You can also use the select-all control in the bottom action bar.
    2. Select Assign in the bottom action bar.
    3. Choose the sitemap page for the selected designs.

  3. Review the assignments.
  4. Select Save and Add Mockups.

The assigned mockups appear on the Designs dashboard, grouped by sitemap page. When several mockups are assigned to the same page, use the previous and next arrows on the thumbnail to browse them.

A selected file that is not assigned remains in the File Library and is not added to the Designs dashboard.
