PDF export

The default export setting is an 8.5” x 11” portrait PDF. You can adjust the paper size, switch to landscape, add notes, include interactive annotations, or export in black and white. Additionally, you can include the page type, date, and page numbers by default. For more details, see: Exporting sitemaps: Quick guide.

Here are examples of exported PDFs:

  • 8”x10” landscape with notes, date, version, and page count

  • Image (Vector EPS & PNG) export

For PNG exports, the sitemap resembles the PDF. However, if it spans multiple pages, it will be saved as multiple images.

For EPS exports, the output appears like the PDF but is editable in programs such as Adobe Illustrator.

    • If your sitemap is wide, choose landscape orientation.
    • If it’s long, use portrait orientation

    HTML export

Exporting to HTML allows you to view the sitemap in any web browser. This process also saves the CSS file and lets you add notes.

The export results in a ZIP archive that contains:

    • An HTML file
    • A CSS file
    • Notes in a .txt file

    • Easy to open in software like Microsoft Excel
    • Can be imported into databases for development
    • Exported as a ZIP archive containing the CSV file
